About
Hey! I’m Ciaran Carmack, a Southern California-based cinematic photographer and drone pilot working across street, documentary, editorial, and live event photography. My work blends realism with a cinematic approach to light, color, and scale. Rooted in Los Angeles street and skate culture, my imagery focuses on human moments within larger urban or natural landscapes, often emphasizing contrast, motion, and the feeling of grandeur. I approach photography as a form of visual storytelling, using composition and perspective to create scenes that feel immersive. My work includes portraiture, independent brand collaborations, and documentary coverage throughout California and beyond. Alongside my event and commercial work, I’ve documented civil demonstrations across Los Angeles and Southern California, including No Kings Day protests and ICE Out protests. My documentary work from these environments has been exhibited in gallery settings, reflecting my commitment to photography as both visual storytelling and contemporary documentation. Part of my inspiration is from the visual language of Los Angeles, through art, music, games, movies and a legacy of cinematic photography from my father. My focus is on creating images that feel immediate, grounded, and visually impactful, capturing not just moments, but putting you in them.
